On July 7, 2023, the Government of Quebec announced new instructions for study permit applicants. As of March 15, 2023, the Ministere de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Integration (MIFI) stopped issuing the paper Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) for temporary selection studies. Currently, the MIFI provides a letter attesting to the issuance of the CAQ for studies (letter 715 or 315) in the online file, replacing the old CAQ. The new instructions clarify that the paper CAQ and confirmation letters (705, 733, 300 and 310) issued before March 15, 2023, are still valid until their expiry date.
