According to a report by the International Monetary Fund, the Canadian authorities have agreed that more houses must be built as mortgage rates are increasing and more people are moving here. To make homes more affordable, the Government of Canada will make getting permission to build new homes in existing neighbourhoods easier and faster. Although the Government has provided funding to help cities build more homes, Canada needs to create a special group where government officials who work on housing and immigration and experts from the construction industry could discuss this issue and develop solutions.
