The New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot program (NBCWP) has garnered considerable interest among skilled immigrants since its November 2022 launch. The program is a joint initiative between the New Brunswick provincial and federal governments to entice newcomers who can fill the province’s workforce gaps. It is an employer-driven stream of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP), with six participating employers located across the province and spanning various industries and sectors. These employers include Cooke Aquaculture Inc., Groupe Savoie Inc., Groupe Westco, Imperial Manufacturing, J.D. Irving Ltd., and McCain Foods.
