Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From February 25 to March 3, Canada invited 2,097 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of March 3, there were 14,138 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 273 ITAs for Australia, 15 ITAs for Austria, 37 ITAs for Belgium, 16 ITAs for Chile, 5 ITAs for Costa Rica, 5 ITAs for Croatia, 38 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 16 ITAs for Denmark, 7 ITAs for Estonia, 164 ITAs for France, 168 ITAs for Germany, 6 ITAs for Greece, 10 ITAs for Hong Kong, 303 ITAs for Ireland, 77 ITAs for Italy, 220 ITAs for Japan, 93 ITAs for Korea, 2 ITAs for Latvia, 15 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for the Netherlands, 73 ITAs for New Zealand, 3 ITAs for Norway, 26 ITAs for Poland, 43 ITAs for Portugal, 17 ITAs for Slovakia, 2 ITAs for Slovenia, 70 for Spain, 13 ITAs for Sweden, 3 ITAs for Switzerland, and 375 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2023, Canada issued 59,471 ITAs under the IEC Program.
