According to the new reports published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), in 2022, around 46% of landed immigrants in Canada were from Asian countries. India remains the primary source of newcomers to Canada, accounting for over a quarter (25%) of all permanent residents in the country. Last year, 118,095 Indians landed as permanent residents – an impressive six-fold increase compared to Canada’s second-highest source country for new immigrants – China.
