Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) has updated the processing times for the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications under various streams. Based on statistics from all processing centres, the current average LMIA processing times decreased for almost all streams except the low-wage stream:
- Global Talent Stream – 8 business days (2 days less)
- Agricultural stream – 14 business days (1 day more)
- Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program – 4 business days (1 day less)
- Permanent residence stream – 22 business days (4 days more)
- In-home caregivers – 24 business days (14 days more)
- High-wage stream – 51 business days (11 days more)
- Low-wage stream – 41 business days (17 days less)
