On August 3, 2022, the Government of New Brunswick announced that the province has introduced the exchange process of a Ukrainian driver’s license for a provincial one. The provincial government is now allowing Ukrainian settlers with a Ukrainian driver’s license to apply for Class 5 passenger vehicle permits. With an A Class 5 license, Ukrainian newcomers will be able to drive most of the two-axle and three-axle motor vehicles. Drivers will be exempt from knowledge and road tests. However, those with under two years of experience will be subject to graduate driver’s license rules.
