On January 29, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) informed that it has finally removed the program delivery procedures and guidance for the Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) class pilot program.
IRCC decided to remove it since the last applications now have been finalized.
This business immigration program was terminated on December 30, 2015.
It replaced the previous unsuccessful Federal Investor Immigration Program, terminated in 2014.
IIVC allowed foreign investors whose net worth was $10 million or more to invest $2 million for a period of 15 years in return for PR status.
Unfortunately, the program did not meet its targets. Currently, the only active investor program is the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program.
