Thunder Bay will open the second intake round in the RNIP

On January 27, 2021, Thunder Bay will open the second intake round in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot. This intake period will last until January 31, 4:30 PM EST.

The registration for candidates with job offers in priority occupations is open for all candidates.

As for foreigners with job offers in any occupation, it is open only to candidates who reside in the city for at least 2 years; hold a valid work permit, and are employed with the designated employer.

In 2021, the Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) of Thunder Bay allocated 15 community recommendations to Cooks (NOC 6322), 10 recommendations to Chefs (NOC 6321), 5 recommendations to Cleaners (NOCs 6731, 6732, and 673), and 10 recommendations to Labourers (NOCs 7611 and 7612).

Additional 30 recommendations will be distributed among “Any Sector” occupations.

Last year, Thunder Bay issued 69 community recommendations.
