Ottawa will publish guidelines for temporary foreign workers’ rights in 5 more languages

In response to increased inspections of workplaces by the provincial governments of Ontario and Quebec, Canada will be releasing its online guide to temporary foreign workers’ rights in five additional languages. Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) has already published this guide in English, French, and Spanish, and is currently working on releasing it in Tagalog, Korean, Thai, Hindi, and Chinese. The guide provides an overview of the Canadian healthcare system for foreign nationals and rights regarding workplace injuries, health and safety hazards, working conditions, and housing. It also includes information on where to go for help if needed.
