On March 23, 2023, the Government of Ontario introduced the 2022 nomination results of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The OINP experienced unprecedented demand in 2022, leading to the biggest number of nominations in its history. Last year, Ontario issued 9,750 nominations under the following streams:
Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream – 885
Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream – 159
Employer Job Offer: International Student stream – 771
PhD Graduate stream – 303
Master’s Graduate stream – 1,480
Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades stream – 3,196
Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream – 2,370
Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream – 583
Entrepreneur stream – 3
Last year, Ontario invited 21,860 candidates under the nine streams of the OINP.
