Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From March 18 to March 24, Canada invited 1,002 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of March 24, there were 19,598 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 93 ITAs for Australia, 6 ITAs for Austria, 8 ITAs for Belgium, 19 ITAs for Chile, 7 ITAs for Costa Rica, 2 ITAs for Croatia, 14 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 4 ITAs for Denmark, 2 ITAs for Estonia, 236 ITAs for France, 59 ITAs for Germany, 6 ITAs for Greece, 3 ITAs for Hong Kong, 61 ITAs for Ireland, 27 ITAs for Italy, 30 ITAs for Japan, 100 ITAs for Korea, 5 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for Luxembourg, 11 ITAs for the Netherlands, 40 ITAs for New Zealand, 3 ITAs for Norway, 11 ITAs for Poland, 15 ITAs for Portugal, 5 ITAs for Slovakia, 2 ITAs for Slovenia, 15 ITAs for Spain, 24 ITAs for Sweden, 9 ITAs for Switzerland, 103 ITAs for Taiwan, and 80 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2023, Canada issued 64,269 ITAs under the IEC Program.
