IRCC clarified PGWP regulations for applicants residing in Quebec

On January 28, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) added some clarifications for post-graduation work permit (PGWP) issuance for applicants residing in Quebec.

For instance, to apply for PGWP, Quebec students do not need to possess a valid Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ).

Students applying for PGWP whose study permit has expired can apply for a restoration of status as a student without a CAQ and apply for the PGWP at the same time.

In addition, IRCC has made some minor updates in the PGWP eligibility section and issuance of the open work permits for former or current PGWP holders section.
