British Columbia will support internationally educated nurses

British Columbia will invest $12 million to recruit internationally educated nurses. The president and chief executive officer of the Health Employers Association of the province, Michael McMillan, stated that “this investment is an exciting step in providing more support for internationally-educated nurses who want to work in British Columbia.” It will also make it easier and cheaper for foreign-trained nurses to get their credentials recognized in Canada. Health Match British Columbia will work with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and the Nursing Community Assessment Service (NCAS) to support this initiative.
